Company Profile

Please allow us to generally categorize those attributes which we believe describe added value.

Size:

Worthmore Forwarding, Inc. is medium in size with minimal staff turnover. This permits maintained personal knowledge of our clients, their needs, procedures and structures. It also greatly increases response time globally.

Financial: Privately held USA Corporation with general disclosure to D&B. Duns 09-648-0462, rating BA1-BA2, excellent financial security.

Global Rep: Worthmore Forwarding, Inc. is represented in most air and seaports of the world.  Our agency network consists primarily of other companies similar to us:  medium in size, financially secure, privately held. Most owners know each other. This coverage supports door/door care and tracing with immediate advice/response.

Pricing: Although medium in size, our network obtains service contract pricing comparable to the largest international forwarders. This is obtained through the buying strength of the network supported by 23 year relationships with carriers, corresponding agents and their employees.

Banking: One of our strongest attributes. We specialize in L/C negotiation. All export staff members are highly trained in L/C stipulation and completion. We are reviewing credits in advance, advising if amend ment may be needed to secure recourse in collection, and tracing funds to date of payment when necessary.  We are working directly with the credit managers of public corporations as their consulting forwarder holding their power of attorney. Largest item handled was $13 million (on one B/L). Daily items range from $0.5 to $2 million. Many clients secured as a result of L/C prowess.

Brokerage: Customs Brokerage has evolved to become a major company operation. We maintain 7 day 24 hour availability for customs clearance.  Many of the commodities include perishables (fish, cheese and flowers), furniture and textiles/garments. These time sensitive commodities require the 24/7 attendance.  We are certified for RLF (Remote Location Filing) which allows our firm to customs clear electronically in most major U.S. ports. We hold a national permit. Four licensed Customs Brokers are on staff.
